Piazza Roma - Montescaglioso (Matera)

The object of this renovation is a building located in the historic center of Montescaglioso, a few kilometers from Matera.
Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it seemed frozen in its original state, the distribution of its internal spaces was very awkward and poorly suited to the needs of its owners. The project expresses the desire to restore the ancient splendor of the building, respecting the historical context, rethinking the internal spaces in a modern key. 
The renovation includes several demolition operations and structural safety measures for the building. The project was completed in 2018.
